Angel Number 1044: A 10 Followed by a Double 4

Angel number 1044 in numerology: a 10 then a pair of 4s, adding to 9, with Sepharial and Decoz on the digits, the 10:44 clock time and the 44 half.

Last updated September 30, 2026

Angel number 1044 is a 10 with a doubled 4 behind it. Two things are on offer here: what the old and new handbooks say about its digits, and what its sums do. Both are for reflection and neither predicts.

Ten, Followed by a Doubled Four

The front of the number is the pair 1 and 0, and the back is a repeated 4. Sepharial (1911) says of the cypher that it “is put last, so that the first and last are brought together to form 10”. In 1044 the 0 is in second place, which puts the 10 at the head of the number. The 4 is, in his words, “The number of reality and concretion.”, and he gives it Mercury.

Decoz, in the modern tradition, calls the 4 “without a doubt the most stable, grounded number”. The 1 is for him a “goal-oriented” personality, and for Sepharial the Sun. Doubling the 4 at the end of the number gives the stable digit the last two places, with the starting digit and its zero ahead of it.

The Sums in 1044

A total of 9

The digits make 9 when added, and no master number appears along the way. Sepharial gives the 9 to Neptune, and his entry for it reads “The number of regeneration. A new birth.” Decoz writes that it “has a global perspective”. When a birth date produces a 9 instead, the place to look is life path number 9.

The 44 half

In the two halves, 10 and 44, the first reduces to 1 and the second to 8, and those two add to 9 again. Our method keeps only 11, 22 and 33 as masters, so 44 goes down to 8. The prime factors are 2^2 x 3^2 x 29, and the number read backward is 4401.

Place value and divisors

By place, 1044 is one thousand, no hundreds, four tens and four ones. The factor list gives it eighteen divisors, including 12, 29, 36, 58, 87 and 116. The last two digits, 44, are 4 x 11, but the number as a whole is not a multiple of 11, since the digits at odd and even places, 1 + 4 and 0 + 4, do not match.

The clock

A 12-hour dial reaches 10:44, sixteen minutes before eleven, twice a day, and a 24-hour display shows the morning one as 10:44 and the evening one as 22:44. No month has a 44th day, so the number cannot be read as a US date.

The Doubled Digit in the Tradition

Sepharial’s entry for the 4 is singular, a number of reality and concretion, and Decoz’s is a statement about stability. Neither says what a pair of 4s does, so the doubling in 1044 is a feature of the writing and of the sum: two 4s add to 8, and the tradition has two readings of the 8, dissolution in Sepharial and balance and power in Decoz. We set the readings next to each other and do not choose between them.

Other Patterns of 4

Three 4s in a row make 444, and three 1s make 111. Longer families of sequences are collected under repeating numbers.

Nines on the Calendar

Take each of the 21,915 days from 1950 to 2009, reduce its date, and 11.1% end as a life path 9. Repeat for the 366 possible birthdays of 2027 and 11.2% are in a personal year 9.

Questions people ask

As a number, it is a 10 followed by a pair of 4s, adding to 9. Sepharial and Decoz describe the 1, the 0, the 4 and the 9 separately. This page keeps to those descriptions and the sums and does not assign a message to 1044 as a whole.

4 + 4 is 8, and 44 as a two-digit number also reduces to 8, so the pair comes out the same either way. Added to the 1 from the front half, the 8 gives 9. The 0 contributes nothing, so the chain is 1 + 8, not 1 + 0 + 8.

It factors as 2 x 2 x 3 x 3 x 29, which is 36 x 29. The 36 is a perfect square, 6 squared, and the 29 is prime. Because 3 x 3 is among the factors, the digit sum had to reach a multiple of 9, and here it is exactly 9.

Yes, twice a day, in the morning and at night. A 24-hour display writes the evening time as 22:44, so the four digits 1044 appear once a day there. The moment is sixteen minutes before eleven. Numerology has no separate rule for clock times.
