Angel Number 855: An 8, a Doubled 5 and the Road to 9

There is one 8 in 855, followed by two 5s. The page covers the digits in numerology’s tradition, the arithmetic, and the telephone prefix that shares the number, as reflection and not as a forecast.

An 8 Followed by Two 5s

Begin with the 8, because it is the digit where the two sources split. The Uranus entry of 1911 says “The number of dissolution”, and the modern heading is “8: BALANCE & POWER”. Go by the first and 855 opens on a loosening; go by the second and it opens on management.

Then comes the 5, twice, so that 855 carries its doubled digit at the tail, where numbers such as 119 and 221 carry it at the head. Jupiter is Sepharial’s planet for it, with the line “Expansion is represented by this number.” Decoz describes the 5 as the most dynamic and energetic of all the single-digit numbers. Both authors read the 5 as a digit of movement, so the doubled 5 is the half of 855 on which they agree. They do not agree about the 8 in front, and neither wrote about how the two parts fit.

Eighteen, Then Nine

Eight plus five plus five is 18, and one plus eight is 9, which gives two steps and a stop at 18 that the tradition does not single out. At the end of the chain, the 9 is “A new birth” in Sepharial’s book, and in Decoz’s a digit with a global perspective and sympathy for people at large. The printed digits of 855 include no 9 anywhere.

The prime factors are 3, 3, 5 and 19, and the number ends in 5 because it divides by 5. Written backward the digits make 558, which has no page here.

Five to Nine

The time 8:55 is five minutes before nine o’clock, and numerology has nothing to say about it, although the 9 that the digits reach and the nine o’clock that follows share a digit by chance. A 12-hour face shows it in the morning and again in the evening, and a 24-hour readout shows it once, as 08:55. The calendar offers nothing in US order, since there is no month 85 and August has no 55th day.

A Prefix for Free Calls

Wikipedia’s list of North American area codes gives 855 to toll-free telephone service. It dates the code to October 9, 2010, and says it was created as a further expansion of 800. So the three digits are also a prefix in the telephone network for lines that callers can reach without being charged, and that is a use of the number quite apart from the angel number. The two uses share only their digits. The numbering plan was built for routing calls and was never meant to carry the meanings that numerology gives to digits, and numerology in turn is silent about telephone networks.

Close Cousins

Eight three times is angel number 888, and five three times is angel number 555. The repeating numbers hub gathers many more.

A 9 Taken From the Calendar

When we reduced the 21,915 calendar dates from 1950 to 2009, 11.1% came out as a life path 9. That figure describes birth dates, and the life path number 9 page explains it; an 855 on a receipt is a different kind of thing.

Try any date in the calculator and it will print each addition, stopping on a single digit or a master number.
