Angel number 1055 is a 10 followed by a pair of 5s, and its digits add to a master number. Below are the entries the old and new handbooks give for its digits, followed by the sums, and all of it is for thinking over, not for predicting.
Five Minutes Before the Hour
The clock gives 1055 its most concrete image. At 10:55 a 12-hour dial is five minutes from eleven o’clock, and it reaches that position twice a day. On a 24-hour clock the evening version is 22:55. No US date spells the number, since no month has a 55th day. The digits also add to 11, and that overlap is a coincidence of counting, not a rule of numerology.
The Total and Its Master Number
The four digits sum to 11, and since numerologists who use master numbers keep 11 instead of adding it again, the chain stops there. Which totals get that treatment is explained on the master numbers page, and the same total reached from a birth date has its own page under life path number 11. In Decoz’s description, the 11 “has twice the power of a 1 but is dominated by the sensitivity and intuition of the 2”.
Split into 10 and 55, each half reduces to 1, since 55 goes to 10 and then to 1, and 1 and 1 written side by side make the 11.
What the Digits Bring
The 1 and the 5 are both in Sepharial’s 1911 handbook and in Decoz’s modern one. Sepharial links the 1 to the Sun and the 5 to Jupiter, and his line on the 5 is “Expansion is represented by this number.” On the modern side, Decoz calls the 5 the digit that is “the most dynamic and energetic” of the single digits. He describes the 1 as “strong, individualistic and goal-oriented”.
For the zero there is only Sepharial, who says it “stands for infinity, the Infinite boundless Being”. Doubling the 5 means the dynamic digit takes both closing places, after a 10 at the head.
Factors and the reverse
1055 factors as 5 x 211, which gives it four divisors: 1, 5, 211 and 1055. Its backward reading, 5501, is another number entirely.
The 55 that is a sum of ten numbers
The second half has a neat property with the first: 55 is what you get by adding every whole number from 1 to 10, and the first half of 1055 is that 10. The match is an accident of these digits, and numerology’s method does not use it. Laid out by place, the number is one thousand, no hundreds, five tens and five ones.
Two Ways the Method Could Have Gone
A method that keeps master numbers stops at 11, and one that does not goes on to 1 + 1 and ends at 2. Either way the first sum of the four digits is 11. We follow the first method and say so, because the two give different last digits, and a reader comparing pages elsewhere may find the 2 instead.
The Two 5s as a Block
The 5 is the digit that carries the sum up to 11, since 1 + 0 leaves only 1 and the two 5s supply the other ten. Sepharial’s entry names expansion, and Decoz’s names energy. Together they describe a digit that goes outward, and in 1055 it appears twice in a row at the end. We describe the pairing and do not claim that a doubled 5 is stronger than a single one.
Numbers Close to It
Its two working digits appear on their own in 555 and in 111. A fuller list of sequences is kept on the repeating numbers page.
A Master 11 in Birth Dates
Keeping 11, 22 and 33 as masters, our run over the 21,915 days from 1950 to 2009 finds a life path 11 on 6.5% of them.
Questions people ask
As a number, it is a 10 and a pair of 5s whose digits add to the master number 11. Sepharial and Decoz describe the digits, and Decoz describes the 11. This page states those descriptions and does not assign a message to 1055 as a whole.
Because 5 + 5 is 10, and 1 + 0 is 1. The number 55 is not a master number, so the method keeps going until it reaches one digit. With the 10 half also reducing to 1, both halves of 1055 come out as 1.
Only by coincidence of counting. 10:55 is five minutes before eleven o'clock, and the digits also add to 11. There is no link in numerology between the two, and the tradition has no separate rule for clock times. It is a neat overlap, and nothing more.
1055 is 5 x 211, and 211 is a prime. The 5 follows from the last digit, since every number ending in 5 is divisible by it. Read backward the number is 5501, which is a different number, so 1055 is not a palindrome.
