Angel number 314 is a three, a one and a four, and in the US it also reads as a date. Typed as 314 angel number, the digits also appear at 3:14 on a clock and, in the US, on the calendar as 3/14. After the digits, the page turns to the arithmetic of 314 and to a telephone fact from Missouri. Consider it a reflective read and not a prediction.
314 as a Date, a Time and a Number
Few three-digit numbers read so easily as a calendar date. Written the US way, with the month first, 3/14 is March 14. The same digits are a clock reading, 3:14, which is fourteen minutes past three. And on their own they are a number made of three different digits. This page treats the number, and notes the other two readings only as the ordinary places the digits turn up.
The Digits in Two Authors
The 3 opens the number. Sepharial, in The Kabala of Numbers (1911), names it with “The symbol of Mars”, and Hans Decoz compares it to a teenager who is “still under the protection of their parents”. Between the two entries the digit has a planet and a family picture.
The 1 sits in the middle. Sepharial writes that it “is the symbol of the Sun” and lists its qualities as the ego and self-assertion. Decoz gives it a personality he calls “strong, individualistic and goal-oriented”. Put between a 3 and a 4, the 1 is the smallest digit of the three.
The 4 closes the number. In Sepharial’s table it is “The symbol of Mercury”, and he calls it the number of reality and concretion. Decoz gives it a longer sentence: the 4 is “without a doubt the most stable, grounded number”. The planets in order run Mars, the Sun, Mercury, which is a list from the table and not a statement about the number.
The digits form a small arc in Decoz’s vocabulary, from young, to driven, to grounded. Neither source wrote about sequences, so the arc is our reading of their wording and readers can set it aside.
Adding Up 314
Three plus one plus four equals 8, so the chain closes in one step and meets no master number. Sepharial’s table links the 8 to Uranus and calls it the number of dissolution, while Decoz’s heading for the same digit is “8: BALANCE & POWER”. The life path number 8 page covers how birth-date numerology pictures that total.
314 is the product of two primes, 2 and 157. Split as 3 and 14, the parts total 17, then 8. Split as 31 and 4, they total 35, then 8 again. Multiplying the digits gives 12, which the addition method ignores.
The reverse, 413, is 7 x 59. Five other numbers share the digits of 314. Two of them, angel number 134 and angel number 143, have pages in this family, and the rest are 341, 413 and 431.
The clock
The 12-hour dial shows 3:14 twice a day, while the 24-hour display has 03:14 once and 15:14 once.
St. Louis
Wikipedia’s list of North American Numbering Plan area codes assigns 314 to Missouri, naming St. Louis, St. Louis County and suburbs such as Florissant, Crestwood, Hazelwood and Kirkwood. It dates the code to 1947 and notes that in 1950 a split created a part of 417. It belongs to the map of phone service and has nothing to say about the digits.
Numbers Close to 314
Pure versions of its digits are angel number 333, angel number 111 and angel number 444; each fills the whole number with a single digit. A wider set is on the repeating numbers page.
Eights in the Sample
In our run of 21,915 dates, from January 1, 1950 to December 31, 2009 with the masters kept, a life path 8 fell on 11.09%, about one in nine. That measures the calendar span and says nothing about anyone’s sightings.

Questions people ask
Numerology's tradition describes the digits, a 3, a 1 and a 4, and our arithmetic shows that they add to 8. A sighting can also be a date or a time, which is ordinary. Beyond those facts, any meaning is a personal reading and not part of a method, so a sighting asks for nothing.
In the US month-and-day order, 3/14 is March 14. In the day-first order used elsewhere, 3/14 is not a valid date, because there is no fourteenth month, and the split 31/4 would need a 31st of April, which does not exist. So the date reading belongs to the US order.
Yes. It ends in 4, so it divides by 2, and the quotient is 157, which is prime. The factorization is therefore 2 x 157. The reversed digits, 413, give an odd number that splits as 7 x 59, so the pair differ in kind as well as in order.
The early minute is 03:14 and the afternoon minute is 15:14. A 12-hour dial shows 3:14 at both times and a 24-hour display separates them. Only the early form keeps the digits 3, 1 and 4 in order, and it falls fourteen minutes after three o'clock.
