Angel number 4646 pairs a 4 with a 6 and repeats them, and what sets the arithmetic apart is what cannot be seen in it: the 1 and the 2 at the end of the working do not appear among the printed digits, and neither does the 10 that every half passes through. This page follows that hidden working, reports what Sepharial in 1911 and Hans Decoz wrote about the digits, and describes figures without making any forecast.
Two Even Digits That Make Ten
The digits run 4, 6, 4, 6, so both digits are even, and each half adds to 10. Every half starts with the 4 and finishes on the 6.
For Sepharial, writing in The Kabala of Numbers (1911), the 4 is reality and concretion under Mercury, and the 6 is co-operation under Venus. Hans Decoz says the 4 is “without a doubt the most stable, grounded number”, and of the 6 he says that “The most important influence of the 6 is its loving and caring nature.”
Reality and co-operation
In modern terms the pair is a steadfast digit beside a caring one, and in the 1911 terms a statement of what is real beside an act of working together. The contrast is gentle, and both eras describe the two digits in the same spirit. The tradition does not say what a repeated alternation of the two adds.
It is worth noticing how often the two digits are described in terms of other people. Decoz’s 6 is caring and Sepharial’s 6 is co-operation, while his 4 is about reality and Decoz’s is about being grounded. The pair therefore reads, in both eras, as one digit that holds still and one that reaches toward others, which is a description of the digits and not of anyone who sees them. Mercury and Venus, the planets Sepharial pairs with them, are the two that keep closest to the Sun in the sky, although he does not make that point himself.
From 10 to 1 and From 20 to 2
Take the 46: 4 + 6 is 10, and a 10 shrinks to 1. Across all four digits the total is 4 + 6 + 4 + 6 = 20, which reduces to 2. The chain, with masters kept, runs 4646, 20, 2, and there is no master number on the way.
So the halves end on 1 and 1, which add to the 2 the whole reaches. The zero in 10 and in 20 is the only place a zero appears in the working, and it comes from the addition and not from the number. None of the printed digits is a 1 or a 2.
The 1 and the 2
Sepharial gives the 1 “self-assertion” among its words and the 2 “witness and confirmation”. Decoz says of the 2 that it is “subtle, gentle, diplomatic, sensitive, and cooperative.” These entries describe stages in the sum, not any digit visible in 4646.
Twenty-Three, and the Rest of the Factors
Underneath, 4646 is the product of 2, 23 and 101, with the half, 46, equal to 2 times 23. The whole number has eight divisors: 1, 2, 23, 46, 101, 202, 2323 and 4646. One of those is 2323, which is the pair form of another number in this series. That is arithmetic and nothing more, and the tradition does not use factors.
Written in the opposite order the digits give 6464, the subject of angel number 6464.
No 46:46 on a Dial
No display reaches 46:46, since hours top out at 23 and minutes at 59, and a 12-hour dial stops at 12. Real times that use the same digits exist, such as 4:46 and 6:46, but each holds only three of the four and neither is the repeated pair. Nothing in a US date format spells them out. Four digits like these belong on prices and labels.
Numbers That Sit Close
Closest in spirit are angel number 444 and angel number 666, the undivided runs. Beyond these, repeating numbers is the place to browse.
Twos in the Date Table
In the table of 21,915 calendar dates from 1950-01-01 to 2009-12-31, 4.62% come out as a life path 2, with the masters 11, 22 and 33 counted apart. The birth-date meaning of that digit is on the page for life path number 2, and it differs from the 2 at the end of this number’s sum.
Enter your own birth date in the calculator above and see whether its chain passes through 20.
Questions people ask
Numerology reads it as a 4 and a 6 repeated, with halves that pass 10 to reach 1 and a whole that passes 20 to reach 2. The sources describe the 4, the 6 and the 2, and offer nothing on the pair itself. Whatever you take from a sighting is your own reflection.
Because 4 + 6 is 10, and each half of the number is exactly that sum. A 10 reduces to 1, so the halves reach 1 and 1. The whole doubles the sum to 20, which reduces to 2. No step involves a master number or a karmic debt total.
The pair itself is impossible as 46:46, since hours stop at 23 and minutes at 59. The digits can make 4:46 or 6:46 on a display, each using three of the four. These are different numbers from the repeated pair, which is met on prices, addresses and references.
The factor 23. The number is 2 times 23 times 101, and 23 and 101 are both prime. Half of the number, 46, is therefore 2 times 23. The factors are arithmetic, and numerology does not use them, so they add nothing to the reading of the digits.
